Final preparations for Arab Summit
reviewed in Tunisia by special cabinet meeting

President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali chaired today a special
cabinet which examined the final preparations for the forthcoming
Arab Summit scheduled for May 22 and 23, 2004.
According to the official news agency TAP, the cabinet meeting
focused on Tunisias Arab relations and examined
the results of the consultations undertaken as part of the
missions decided by President Ben Ali for the purpose of ensuring
all the necessary conditions so as to open a new page in the
process of joint Arab action and solidarity.
The cabinet meeting reviewed the final preparations
for the Arab Summit and the efforts aimed at providing the
best of conditions to welcome Arab heads of states and heads
of Arab delegations and facilitate their participation to
the summit.
President Ben Ali stressed the need for adequate preparation
for this important Arab event and ensuring the adequate conditions
for it to guarantee its success and give it the necessary
credibility so as to meet the aspirations of Arab peoples
and serve fundamental Arab causes.
